the latest Tiger Woods that exist is Tiger Woods 2003:
Tiger Woods 2003 Aspyr
(demo available from the same site, note it is 60MB to download)

Tiger Woods 2003 was excellent, by the way -- best golf game you can get for the Mac, in my opinion.

personally my feeling is that golf is more fun as a computer game then real life...
I will most likely buy the new 2005 version once it is out

I'm playing it on the PC now (2005 version). I'll buy the Mac version when it's shipped. Short summary: 2005 is much tougher than 2003, at least initially. Legends mode is fun, and the new courses are cool. The manual absolutely stinks, though -- I hope Aspyr writes a nice Mac-specific one. One example:
When I first started playing, I had no grid on the greens, despite having it enabled in the prefs. I couldn't figure out what was going on; the manual said nothing about it at all, and the forums were worthless. After some experimenting, I fiigured out that because I had set my skill at "expert," the grid wasn't available. This is not indicated anywhere in the manual -- it doesn't explain what changes with each skill setting at all! Highly frustrating.
Once in the game, though, it's a blast. Can't wait for the Mac version!

ok so i just bought and installed tiger woods 03 and im very disappointed in the powerbooks gaming capabilities and i know its not made for gaming but u would at least think it would be able to run a game from 2 years ago i mean the gold club blurs really bad when golfer is moving aound and u can sometimes see throught the golfer when teeing off but i really expected better

is there anyway of upgrading the video card?

I have the same machine as well and Tiger Woods plays great on it. Some of the visual things you are seeing are part of the game code and not the speed of your computer. It runs as well on my PB as my G5. Those little visual quirks show up in both.

No, there's no way of upgrading the video "card". It's soldered on the motherboard.
Really, I'm not sure what your problem is, but I don't think it's the PowerBook, and I can't quite tell from your description if it's an issue of expectations or stuff not working right. Tiger runs great on my 1.5GHz PowerBook. Make sure you're running the latest version.

As I recall, there is a TW2003 patch; check Aspyr's site, as perhaps the one you bought hasn't been patched yet.

And Just because you bought it the other day doesn't mean it came out the other day, friend. It's been out, as the name implies, since 2003. So please check Aspyr's Web site for the latest patch, download it, and apply it.
