I just got my isight and works great with my powerbook but I get a 'your camera is in use by another application' message when I use it with my G5 even though I don't have any other applications in use. When I unplug and replug it I get a blank screen. Any ideas or suggestions? I am using the most up-to-date ichat version and am at 10.3.4 on the G5

Always a good idea to Clean Caches/Check Permissions/Check Disk

That can happens sometimes when you use an application such as QuickTime Broadcaster or iVeZeen, quit that application, then try to use iChatAV with iSight.
I've noticed it happens mostly when I go quickly from one of those applications to iChatAV. Perhaps it doesn't have time to switch over.

Hi
Even though it sounds like you've pretty much done it, outside of quitting all running applications.
Apple Knowledge Base Article #93216 - iSight "Your camera is in use by another application" message

Also, make sure your iSight is up-to-date

Well thanks all for the quick replies but unfortunately no luck on all the suggestions (still one more to try - clear cache). Rebooted, unplugged, closed all applications, updated isight, repaired permissions and still no luck - I'm still open to any more suggestions - THANKS

Next 3 guesses:
From Problems with FW devices
Unplug any other firewire devices
Try another cable
Zap your PRAM
