Quicksilver wake up from sleep problem

One of the posters on the apple forum had his logic board changed and it seemed to have solved the problem. Apparently, it affects not only quicksilvers, but also older powermacs and cubes. My pismo works just fine after waking from sleep so there's no problem there. Hopefully apple's aware of the problem. i just hope it's a problem with OS X.2 and not the logic board of my mac.

I have a Power Mac 933. I'm running 10.1.5 and 10.2, and I have that exact problem in both OS.
The symptom is exactly as you described. In my case, one out of five instances when my PM wakes up from sleep, all network connections are lost and if I go into the System Preferences and look under Network/Built-in Ethernet, I would have no IP configuration. My only recourse is to reboot to regain my IP/subnet assigned by my router...which is very annoying..grrrr.
I'm glad to hear you have no such problem with your Mac, though I'm very curious as to whether other Mac owners have the same problem as I do.

The fact that my pismo is not affected makes me think there might be something wrong with my quicksilver's logic board (I have a 800). On the other hand, as it also seems to affect older powermacs and cubes, it seems unlikely that all G4 powermacs released over the last few years have faulty logic boards. So it should be something with OS X and Powermacs. I had the problem in OS X.1.5 as well (another problem was that my clock would only set itself to the right time after a minute or so), but there my network connection was restored after a few seconds. Seems that Jaguar made it worse. The thread on the apple forum almost contains 40 posts. Maybe someone at apple will take notice... Let's hope so. images/icons/frown.gif
