The Apple keyboard in German has a different layout than other german keyboards. i.e. On the Apple keyboard the @ key is located on the L key. This (from what I can find) is non standard and it should be on the Q key. Microsoft Keyboards and Logitech Keyboards are both like this. I can't find a Keyboard Layout that moves just these few extra keys to match the keyboard. Microsofts software seems really nice but doesn't seem to come with a layout. from

I can go ahead and make one but I shouldn't have too. Searches are coming up blank. Any Germans out there get this working?
Danke!
Cheers
Dave

Ich bin nicht German, although I've been mistaken for a German few times.
But, Croatian keyboard layout is like that too. The location of @ is different from where poeple are used to find it on PC keyboards. It's been consistent to previous Mac OS, though. I actually prefer it where it is over PC layout. I wouldn't mess with this, just relax and go with the flow... /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I would but it is for my mother-in-law who is a switcher. She isn't as flexable as others... There must be a keyboard layout file around that someone created?
Thanks though...

A couple of 'easily modify your own keyboard layout' things:
generate one on a web page
download an application to do the same sort of thing
