I weighing the difference between the education discount(how much is it) against the bundles offered by the various catalogue resellers. My daughter is in school full time and needs new. What is the consensus here? Thanks

Go to Apple.com, click on Store, click Education, choose Shop for Yourself, and choose your school. You'll see all the education pricing.

I tried that but I don't have all her info, that's why I asked here. What's the best deal? (refer to first post, please) /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The education discount that I would receive as a student at my University is $20 on both of the mini models. Also, you receive small discounts (around $5 on upgrades in memory, airport etc.) I think all of the Universities have the same discount however, check it out to make sure education discount . All you need to know is your daughters school she attends, YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW ALL OF HER INFO.

You don't actually need all her info. If you know what school she goes to, just type in the city/state and choose the school.
Anyway, the education price is $20 off for the Mac Mini. But all the upgrades are cheaper, too, with $10-$20 off everything (including getting a DVD burner, or adding Airport and Bluetooth).

Thanks, the bundled printer, keyboard & mouse is a better deal for her. Then she can sell her 266 iMac and get more ram. I found her a used monitor, too.

One of the better deals for student/teacher discount on the Mac Mini is the APP (Apple Protection Plan) which knocks down the $149 normal price to $99. A really good deal..
