Alright, so today I attempted to burn my first DVD. I have all of these episodes of LOST (in .AVI format) and I wanted to test the program with one of them. The files are DivX encoded and play fine in Quicktime, but when I try to play them in iDVD, there is no sound. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I am new to Macs (just got this Powerbook on Wednesday), so relatively uncomplicated instructions would be perfection.
This is slightly unrelated, but I figure I'll ask anyway: I went ahead and burned the DVD, despite the sound issues, just to see how it would look. But instead of the video having an aspect ratio of 16:9 (widescreen), it was smooshed to letterbox. I thought iDVD was supposed to support widescreen. Any remedies? (In the preview, it shows up as widescreen.)
