Anyone know if I can get the clips that I imported with a camera back onto the clips pane? I have found them in the media folder under "show folder contents" but they never import properly. Since they're already in iMovie usable format, there should be a way to get them back to the pane, right?

I'm not following you completely... drag back them to the pane from where?
If they've been imported and are presently in the timeline, click and drag them back to the clips pane.
If they are in the trash, click on the trash icon to open it (can also be accessed via the "File" menu... "Show Trash") and drag the clips from there back into the clips pane.
* You can also drag the .dv clips from the folder manually into iMovie's clips pane.

Sorry I didn't make it clear the first time. I imported the footage, had it in the clips pane, put it in the trash (whether intentionally or not I can't recall) and emptied the trash to free disk space. Soon afterwards i was stricken with the thought that I would need to reimport my footage. I realized that I could find the footage by "showing the package contents" of my iMovie project (something that happens when you uppgrade to iMovie HD. I found my clip in there. Unfortunately, it owuld not go into the clips pane when manual dragged. I wanted to know if I put the clip in the clips pane without reimporting it because it is already in the format that iMovie can use. Is this possible?
-thanks
