I recently purchased 2 ibooks with Airport Extreme cards installed. I also have am iMac G3 running OS9.1 plugged directly into the router. I have an HP6110 printer, copier, scanner, fax plugged into the iMac via USB, and my question is what do I have to do to be able to print remotely from the 2 ibooks?

You have a couple of options.
1. Figure out a way to enable Print Sharing on the iMac. I'm not sure how to do this with OS 9. Google may be able to help here.
2. Upgrade the iMac to OS X. As long as there's a printer driver for the HP 6110, you're golden. Enable Print Sharing and viola!
The downside to Options 1 and 2 are that you have to have the iMac ON at all times for this to work. Otherwise, you'll have to run over to the iMac to turn it on when you want to print.
3. Get a dedicated print server for the HP. It'll give it an IP address and then all your Macs will print to that IP address. The downside is that you still might need to hook-up via USB for the other functions.
4. Get a Keyspan USB Server. This hooks into the router via ethernet and to the printer combo via USB. It'll allow for print "leasing" as well as keep the other functions intact. I don't know how well it works, but the specs look useful. I don't know if it works with OS 9, though.
5. Lastly, get an Airport Extreme Basestation or Airport Express. Both have a USB port for printer sharing. Check for OS 9 compatibility as well as the printer compatibility before buying.
