I have a Wallstreet Powerbook 233 running 9.2.2. I have 128 MB of RAM.
All of a sudden during playback in iTunes 2 songs will "pause" for a second or two. Everything else is running fine. I have run Disk Doctor, rebuilt the desktop, zapped the PRAM, trashed the preferences for itunes and energy saver but nothing helps.
I have the original 2 GB hard drive and have been thinking of replacing it. Could the hard drive be the problem? I don't want to replace it only to find I still have the problem.
Thanks for your help!!

Try defragging the hard drive.

Just a guess here, but given the size of your hard drive, it's going to fill up quickly with music. I wondering if you've just overloaded an old machine beyond it's limits. See how much space is left on your drive. If it's close to full, that may be your problem, though I have no easy solution for it.

Hi,
I had the same problem with my 1GHz iBook and it turned out to be a problem with AirTunes. Do you have this? I had to reset the AirPort Express. If you don't have AirTunes then I can't comment.
