I've been thinking about getting an iPod Photo or iPod mini. I don't know which one I should get. I think I may fill a mini too quickly, but I like the size. On the other hand, the Photo has some great features that I may use in the future, but it seems a bit bulky and 30GB is way more than I need. (I wish I could get a 15 or 20GB iPod Photo, but oh well.)
I've been told that an iPod that is used with a Mac can't be used to move files from a Windows machine. Is this true?
Secondly, if this is true, is there anyway around that? I was thinking Virtual PC would be a away to get around that.
Thanks in advance.

yes, there are ways around moving files to and from both windows and macs on the same ipod, however i don't have time to locate that info at the moment. as for which ipod to get, you're looking at a mini or photo, but why not just a normal ipod? you said the mini will fill up too quick, the photo has too much space, and you wish they made photo in 20gig. obviously photos aren't a deal breaker, go with the 20gig ipod. shrug

Not sure about the 20GB iPod, but the iPod mini 6GB can be charged via USB 1.1. Apple neglects to mention this ability as well as the ability to sync via USB 1.1.
However, you should know that the "large" iPods all come with the AC adapter. The new iPod minis do not.
