I had to enable my root user to modify a couple of files for a project. After logging in as root I returned to my regular login and all of my Entourage (2001) settings emails, address book etc. are gone! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I checked and the files still appear in the Microsoft User Data library but Entourage doesn't seem to want to find the files. I tried to import the files and it wouldn't do that either. I need to access those emails!
I tried to import the files into my Mail client but it would only import what my current Entourage sees (which is nothing).
Help!!!
Does anybody know a work around for this? (I'm on OS10.3.5, using Entourage 2001 on OS 9.2)
Thanks in advance for the help!

OK, you're running Entourage:2001 under OS 9.2 Classic under OS X 10.3?
Look in your home /Users/osxusername/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2001 Identities folder. What's there? "Main identity" folder? Any other folders?
What exactly does Entourage:2001 do when you start it? Offer to create a new identity and ask for your mail account info?
BTW, enabling root is always a mistake.
