My monitor seems to have more black space around the viewing window, like it is shrinking. It's the same for any resolution I pick in the display panel. Also, I sometimes see a slight flicker, like it's having a power hiccup. I have it plugged into a power interruption supplier and there is no audible alarm when this happens and lights around me don't flicker. Do you think I have a dying monitor, or maybe a dying video card? The monitor is an older Viewsonic P220f. The video card is an ATI 9800 Pro Mac edition that I got new with the computer about 18 months ago. I'm running 10.3.5.

If I were a betting dude I'd say the display is going South vs the video card. Same thing happened to one of my 17" Apple ColorSync monitors. I kept adjusting the black pin-cushion, and re-calibrate, but after 3-4 months it died. AppleCare repaired it once for free, and the next time there was NO warranty so replaced it.
