Mini and Viewsonic, DVI between

My MacMini, connected to a Viewsonic 20" 1600x1200 LCD makes horizontal, flicking, hairpin-like lines on the screen when changing images(playing a DVD) or when a still image is on the screen but playing a music clip in the background. Seems like the flicking increased with increased activities in the machine. Obviously it did not happen on the store's demo machine which was connected to a BenQ monitor. Switched over from DVI to analogue monitor cable - problem disappeared. Help anyone?

Definitely call AppleCare. They're there for exactly these types of cases. 800-APL-CARE.
