"It's fun to call people morons, isn't it? "
When those people can't get any of their facts right? Yes it is.
"Who the heck goes out and buys a new monitor when they are happy with the one they have -- just so they can get a new consumer model of the Macintosh? Answer: All iMac owners."
Let's be honest here. Many PC owners do as well. By the time you're ready to replace your computer, monitor prices will have dropped enough that you can get a bigger monitor for pretty cheap. How many dell sales do you think happen where the buyer declines the new monitor for $50?
I have to admit, I have as many monitors as I have computers.

tonnage recycled HPs vs. recycled Apples? oh pff!
anybody who's had a basic stats class would have asked immediately "well, how many tons of computers are sold from each company annually and/or how many tons of computers are out there from each total, THEN tell me the respective percentages."
as my stats prof said "figures don't lie, but liars figure"
please, don't insult us by fooling with the numbers. We bought Apple machines, remember? We're already smarter than the average bear.

This is without including printers and other HW that HP produces. I am sure that a Laser printer must contain something besides from plastic that is probably not very environmentally friendly.
