I have decided to post here because I have made most of my posts in here. I would like to offer sincere thanks to the members and especially moderators of this forum for making my entry into the world of Apple Computers very satisfying. Tips and hints from here have helped me enjoy my Powerbook all the more.
I will be saying goodbye to Mac, for the near future, soon. I have decided to accept an appointment and nomination from my Congressman to the United States Air Force Academy outside Colorado Springs. This is an amazing opportunity for me and keeps me on the path to realizing many dreams.
I will still try to at least haunt these forums when i can, and i do hope at some point to bring my 'Book out with me, but i have Basic first, after that we shall see.
Part of the deal in going out there is that they supply me with a brand new laptop, prob a Dell now that Thinkpads are on the way out. Either way, it is back to windows. (who woulda thought "think different" didn't catch on with the military)
Thanks to everyone, and i will get back to you as i can. I have at least month of freedom still.

congrats on your appointment. and good luck.
the good news is Air Force has GPS now, so you don't have to remember all the cities and highways from the air to navigate. (sorry, navy joke)
Uncle Sam may require you to use a PC for a while, but once you go mac.. you never really go back.
sooooo
not good bye.. just see you later.

BTW Congrats I was in the Corps for four years and now am finishing up college Just one piece of advice pay attention to the news and don't accept everything they tell you at face value
