Perhaps some like those Tiger Widgets.
I still don't get what is so great about the pack of Widgets that Tiger installs: calculator, weather, calendar.

Are there any really productive and usefull widets for the Tiger?
I tried Konfabulator Widgets in Panther and found them to be rather non productive.

I find flickit and Flidget really useful. The Yahoo Traffic widget is mildly helpful sometimes. dashLicious is helpful sometimes. It's a really personal thing though. Have you looked through Apple's Dashboard downloads area to see if there are any that peek your interest?

Questioning the value of widgets because thus far the ones you have encountered are not very useful is like questioning the value of applications for the same reason. I suggest you think beyond the existing inventory of widgets for the Dashboard and consider the value of the concept. Sooner or later some widgets will come along that you find very useful.

They were talkking about Tiger on Click online on BBC world and they said the big thing about widgets is whats yet to come and what people can think up in the future.
They showed Longhorn in operation good to see M$ still have nothing original to show, and it will be ready in 2006 who knows where apple will be then /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'm sure it's just a precursor to what's to come from the development community. The only thing I don't like about the dashboard is that is can be used only as a overlay!!! I would like to have the widgets I find useful available at all times. I tried the beta for Amnesty, but it has a long way to go before it's ready for prime time.

For more information regarding an always-displayed Dashboard widget, I refer you to this thread where that issue is discussed in more depth.
