I'd appreciate any help on this one.
Just scanned 1,000+ photos into iPhoto 4.0.3 (about 2,000 more to go). Spent plenty of time putting in titles for each photo. The titles are able to be displayed in the iPhoto slideshow. When I import the iPhoto slideshow (with the preferences saved for displaying titles) into iDVD 4.0.1, the pictures come across fine, but no titles. By the way, I'm running 10.3 (Panther).
Is there a way to get the titles that are displayed in the iPhoto slideshow into iDVD?
I tried it in iMovie, however it requires that I manually select, copy and paste the title from each photo into the title and then re-render each photo.
I'd be happy for any solution, applescript, anything.
Thanks

I'm looking for the same thing, plus the ability to then print selected photos from the resulting CD/DVD. Or do I have to do one slideshow with titles, and then on another CD/DVD export the photos to print? Trying to archive some old family photos, and want ultimately to provide a slide show to family, but also the photos so that they can print them if they wish. Thanks for any input!

W00T. I'm a Mac user since 2 weeks ago, and this is my first opportunity to help someone out /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I had a similar issue, which was that by exporting to iDVD, I lost all the automatic Ken Burns effect that iPhoto puts in slideshow.
The solution was to export to iMovie (via the Share menu), and then from iMovie to iDVD.
I can't test whether this preserves titles from where I am now, but give it a go!

Just tested it: titles are preserved.

I very much appreciate your help, however it appears as though my version does not have a "share" function. I can export from iPhoto, but I could not see anything labeled share in the menu bar drop downs. I'm using version 4.0.3 of iPhoto, what version are you using and could you please time me where you found the share feature?
Thanks

In iPhoto 5.0.2, "share" is one of the main menubar items.
To export a movie, make sure you are in a slideshow, then Share -> Export...
I've never used an older version of iPhoto -- maybe the menu names changed. Command-shift-E is the keyboard shortcut.

Thank you very much for the information. It looks like I have to update iLife to the latest version to get it to work.
