QBTimer install, Virtual PC, Mac OS 10.4.1 (Tiger)

I have:
1. iMac, 2 GHz with Mac OS X 10.4.1 Tiger
2. Virtual PC 7 with Windows 2000 SP4 installed
3. QuickBooks 2000 CD
I inserted the QB CD and then "explored" the disk until I found: TIMERINSTALL.EXE
I clicked on INSTALL.EXE and NOTHING.
I am trying to install the QB Timer into my Windows 2000 environment so I can continue to use QuickBooks. (Because, as you know, there is no timer in the Mac version of QB.)
How do I do this?

The answer is:
reboot the Windows 2000 environment
