I have a disk image (.dmg) that is supposed to be an emergency boot CD. When I mount the image and burn the CD I get a CD that shows as bootable in the Start-Up System Preferences but the computer will not boot from it.
I have tried starting holding down the "c" key and "shift-option-command-delete" but the Mac just goes to the hard drive.
What is wrong? What have I missed?javascript:void(0)

how'd you burn it?
i used either BootCD (panther only, Tiger soon, but not yet) or I have DiskWarrior make a bootable with DW on it ..
the DW route is probably best.

I was burning the CD from the mounted image and not the image. I reburned from the .dmg and all is well!
