Hi
My son Jack has bought an MP3 player with his pocket money. Yes, he should have bought a Shuffle, but his bank didn't run to it! We have a problem, however. When we plug in the USB, we get a disc image. Copying mp3s from iTunes occasionally freezes the Finder. We did, however, manage to get the files on to the Mp3 player, but it turned out they were 'ghosts' - icons which took no memory.
Has anyone any clues to what is happening. We were told the player was compatible with OSX.
Thanks in advance
Chiefsub

Hi
Doesn't seem to be a brand. We bought it here. As you can see, it specifically mentions that it is supported for Mac OS 10.1.2 and above.
Thanks

What you'll probably have to do is to explicitly export all the songs out of iTunes in the mp3 format and then stuff all the mp3's into the mp3 player.
Suggestion next time to avoid all this: Get the Shuffle

Thanks. We'll try exporting rather than drag and drop tomorrow, and will report back. In retrospect, I should have lent him the extra 30 quid.

Yes because the interface (iTunes) has more options than just stuffing a boatload of mp3 onto the mp3 player. How much is a quid in $'s?

Hey we all make mistakes. Put that thing on ebay and when you can get a shuffle. Life will be easier.
