Looks like quite the productive piece of software and the consisitent release of special collections for free is very appealing.
I'm most curious about people's experiences with it. How well does it actually integrate with iLife and does it support older Print Shop files? The last time I used the Print Shop was back in the mid '90s and would love to open/view my old work! :-)

I can't offer any clarification on support for older Print Shop files, but I can point you to our own Kelly Lunsford's recent review, which seemed quite favorable.
One thing I will warn you about, though: Some vendors are trying to pass off older versions of Print Shop that run only natively in Mac OS 9 as current. Make sure, when you get this, to look for Software MacKiev's version. Their name is on the box.

I switched from Print Explosion to Print Shop, and I've been extremely happy -- with a couple of annoying interface deficiencies I really wish they'd fix. One is that while Print Explosion allowed you to center an object horizontally, vertically, or "on the panel" (both ways); Print Shop allows only "center on panel", and you have to shift-drag up or across if you really only wanted it centered one way. And while the selection dialog for importing graphics (including from iPhoto) works OK, it's annoying that it's modal and when you bring it up again it's reset to the initial state -- if you went to iPhoto, or searched, or whatever, you have to start all over again.

MacPaddy I have been very happy with this product. The iPhoto integration is especially a nice touch. As are the free seasonal updates and expansion packs.
But you do have to be careful about which version you buy. There is an older version that has a sticker on the box that clearly states for OS X. What they mean is it will run under OS X in OS 9 classic environment. I know I was one of the many that got burned. And the older version is still out there. Just last month I saw several copies at a local CompUSA.
If you do decide to buy this program. And I am recommending it. Then buy it from an Apple retail store or online Apple store, or from Mackive directly. Then you will know you are getting the up-to-date and far superior version.
