Thanks in advance if some member can help. I use NC WebMail 90% of the time, but I'd like to use Apple's Mail program the other 10%. It works fine w/ OSX 10.3.9 on an iMac G5, but NOT on G4 OSX10.4.1. (same settings) It will receive mail, but will not send, and no error messages. I've 2x checked the SMTP settings, used Network utility to ping Comcast...A-OK. I called Comcast and he said I had to use port 25 to send, but he couldn't help me. OK...called Apple and they walked me through:yanking out the prefs, Mail folder, creating new Account (which I had already done) and Apple gave up. So: its not the end of the world, but sure would enjoy some feedback as to why Mail v2.0.1 won't send mail via Comcast. Thanks again.

::bump::bump:: Got my Mail to send perfect thanks to a friend that sent me this:

Wish I knew how to get a hold of -Grant G. (worried a tad) but he also uses Spell Checker X, and could have the same hangup since its a difficult snag to narrow down.

I have Comcast and have absolutely no problem sending mail via Mail 2.0.1

I don't have any problems either NOW. But for some reason Spell CatcherX would NOT allow any smtp'n from Mail 2.0.1...major conflict. Many folks also had the same snag until they trashed SC X. All is well now. Just thought it my duty to report back with a fix in case some member has had the same hangup. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
