Huh, well, the talk of the 32 bit G4 vs. the 64 bit G5 chip now brings up a question of mine--does anyone think it would be more prudent to buy one of the 800s or 933s now with all the price deals and sell it when the G5s come out, rather than waiting to buy one of the new, more expensive towers that I assume will only be worth their price for another 6 mos?

SOmething I read... I believe that the 64 bit G5 is some time away, the impression I was left with was a year at the very least.

I think the questions you have to ask yourself is whether or not you can absorb the hit, the difference between what you'll pay and what you can sell it for. Will you get enough work out of what you buy today to offset the loss you'll suffer?

I'd wait till MWNY before you buy..there will almost definetly be tower upgrades and maybe, just maybe, the G5 (though I doubt it)
