I've set up a home network consisting of a Linksys WRT54G Wireless G Broadband Router, an iMAC running Tiger 10.4.1, a Dell Desktop and laptop both running XP. How do I "see" drives and share files such as .jpg pictures across the network? Any network insights are very much appreciated.
Regards, Pete

On the PC side, right-click a folder and do the Sharing and Security thing. Then it will show up under the Network icon in your Mac Finder.
On the Mac side, use your Sharing preference and turn on Windows File Sharing. That will share your Public folder, but hides the rest of your computer for security. Then find it as you would any server from Windows. If you want to share other folders on the computer, use something like SharePoints.

From the Sidebar or from the Finder Go Menu select Connect to Server or Network. In one or both of those places you should see the other computers on your Network. Select (click) the computer you wish to reach. Afer a moment it'll appear on your desktop.
I think initially you may have to go the Connect to Server Route and on subsequent attempts you can see the other computers right from Network, as I can.
Then you'll have a choice of accessing another computer's hard drive or a speciifc home folder within it.Of course this all is only possible if the other person has enabled sharing on his/her machine.
