MUSIC & RHYTHM GAMES!
This would be a SUPREME genre to have on a Mac. Is asking for Beatmania too much then?

It is certainly the idea, but it doesn't hurt to see what other people will be suggesting.
I'll be suggesting the following games,
Dungeon Siege II
Battlefield Vietnam
Battlefield II
Star Wars: Battlefront II
Halo II

Yeah, Halo 2 for the Mac ain't going to happen. Only reason Halo did come over, damn late might I add, is to keep their word about having a Mac version. And that only came about because there was a PC port before it. I'm pretty sure Asypr just means PC games.
The first on my list was Half-Life 2, then F.E.A.R., FarCry, and some others.
Maybe with the adoption of Mactels, it'd be far more feasible than otherwise. I mean when the Mactels come out, there will be nothing Apple (hardware specific at least) about em. It'll just be generic PC hardware in the case. So maybe it'll be taken more seriously. Carmack did say raw CPU speed is better for gaming. (I'd still prefer an AMD powered Mac).

First of all, Aspyr has quite a few games in its stable that were console-only before it licensed Mac and PC versions of them, so discounting the company as doing nothing but PC ports is an error.
Secondly, MacSoft and Westlake Interactive developed the Mac version of Halo simultaneously with its PC counterpart, which Gearbox developed -- it didn't "only [come] about because there was a PC port before it."
However, it's safe to say that unless Microsoft licenses a PC version of Halo 2, no Mac version of Halo 2 will be forthcoming.

I sent email. Requested Stargate SG-1: The Alliance (assuming it ever actually gets done) and Max Payne 2.
