Hi,
Ive recently purchased a Palm Tungsten E2. I own a Powerbook G4. The reasons for choosing Palm was that its compatible with Mac OS (an obvious reason), and that it had Bluetooth, which I thought would make it a charm to synchronize.
However, I cant for the life of me get my Palm synced with my Mac. I seem to have established a connection between the two units, but when I run Hotsync from the Palm, I get the error message "Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application". In Hotsync Manager on the Powerbook, Ive chosen the "bluetooth-pda-sync port", and chosen "Serial" as connection. As far as I know, there are no other units, application or whatever, that are using this port.
The user manual, and online troubleshooting on palmone.com is quite useless, and Im quite frustrated at the moment. Anyone out there who has experience with Palm, that are able to help?
Thanks,
Fritz

I'm having exactly the same problem, with a Tungsten E2, but connecting to a G3 iMac running 10.3.9. I can sync just fine using the cable, but attempting to do it via a Bluetooth dongle gives me the same error message. As stated above, the Palm site is useless. Anyone got a solution to this problem?
