Can anyone who has used this and Ambrosia's Snapz Pro provide a brief comparison of performance?

Performance I can't speak to, but it's pretty clear from the descriptions that they're different. While Snapz Pro enables you to record screen shots and screen action, MacCapture adds a load of other editing features and special effects Snapz Pro lacks.
