and my wife who will receive this wants a black....
I also believe any coulour picts on this will look better if the total finish is black
I ordered it yesterday, it said 5 working days, very excited to see it...ermmm my wife is, of course /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I bought a white one because the headphone wires, USB, and all accessories are white. It has the same kind of edges as my G5 iMac, so it almost looks like a mini iMac /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm loving the size so far, but it takes getting used to the smaller click wheel, and my large hands. The dock adapter that came with it will not work with an iPod Mini dock. But the Nano will sit in the Mini dock without adapter, and works just fine. I can charge using my FW cable, but can't transfer unless I use the USB cable. Another strange thing is my 4GB Mini will hold everything in my iTunes library, but the Nano won't.

Definitely black. Looks 'Oh so good!' Would have bought the U2 version of iPod if not for the red in it (and of course how much more the package costs too)!

I bought a white iPod nano, because:
1.) if you slip it into a clear(ish) silicone case, it'll stay white, whereas a black nano will turn kinda greyish.
2.) as Peter said, all the accessories are white (although that'll probably change over the next few months).
3.) the black version just doesn't look that great to me in real life (Think Secret photo gallery).

I had both of them for most of the day Thursday, and I can tell you that although the black looks very slick and stylish, it suffers badly from PSP Syndrome. (Translation: The black shows fingerprints and smudges like crazy.)

Hi Dan,
One of the reasons I loved my Mini was you didn't have the problem with smudges, and fingerprints. Now with the Nano, I am back to wiping my iPod down all the time.

I have seen and held both, but bought the white iPod nano. If I leave my nano on the dashboard of my car for 8 hours in the 90+ degree weather in Washington while I am at work, the white one should be cooler to the touch. Just kidding.
