Apologies if this is the wrong forum...I am trying to use a CDRW external drive (Que! Firewire) with a G3 iMac running OS X 10.3.9 and iTunes 4. The computer recognizes it but iTunes doesn't. Is there a list of burners compatible with iTunes or should I just go with Toast?
thanks /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Try Patchburn first, and if it still doesn't work look for a compatible burner Here .

Thanks, my drive is listed, but still no clue why it's not recognized. Maybe a firmware update to the drive, is my guess now.

I tried both...neither worked. Feh. At least I didn't pay for this burner (it was given to me by somebody who didn't use it anymore). Maybe a firmware update, is what I'm guessing now?

As a followup, I stumbled across this forum:
http://www.atpm.com/.../que-fire.shtml
and it looks like the Que! drive is problematic to say the least. Best look for a better drive, I'd say. Any recommendations? /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
