Hey folks,

I'm about to replace the original internal HD in my PM 7600 (no laughing, please). I have a 9 GB Barracuda that I'll put in instead. I can't remember if that original HD is terminated or not. I need to know so I can set up the new drive appropriately. I also have a second HD that I added in there several years ago. I don't think that one is terminated, because I don't remember having to try to figure it out back then.

Anyone know for sure which way I should config the new drive? I at least know to set the SCSI ID correctly ;-)

Thanks,
Chris

The drive at the end of the cable gets terminated (assuming you're using a 50 pin drive with jumpers for termination). You need to jumper the pins for termination enable (TE or something similar).

typically the original internal drive is terminated. When you added a second drive was it an external unit. If it was the only other SCSI drive in the chain it also needed to have the termination jumper/resistors/pack set in place.
