I'm trying to administer an iMac 1.6 FP running Tiger for our Church. It uses a dial up 'net connection. When I had the unit here at home, I used the ethernet cable from my iMac to run all the necessary updates before transporting the new unit to Church. That was sweet and configuration was automatic!
My question: now that I have the Church iMac set up for modem use, will I lose those settings if I bring the iMac home and hook it up to the ethernet cable to download updates?
Thanks, Bob.

Hi
Shouldn't. Built-in Ethernet settings should not change unless you change them. Just like Internal Modem settings shouldn't change if you change the ethernet settings.

Thanks, I was hoping that was the case. I'll feel more comfortable bringing the Church iMac home once in a while to do any updates via my DSL. Bob.
