About three months ago I read an article which explained how to turn the alarm on in my 3rd generation Ipod. I turned off a couple of weeks after that but all of the sudden it has started going off again and wasting battery. I am unable to turn it off as in the setting panel the alarm option does not come on (Additionally I lost the article of how to set up the alarm on the Ipod). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Aha! You have the clock turned off! You also have other selections turned-off, too.
Click on "Settings", "Main Menu", and then scroll down and you'll see all of the items that can be turned-off or turned-on for your iPod. Once you get past "Extras" in the list you'll see "Clock". I bet it is currently off. Click the center button to switch it on and off. Once it is set to "On" you can back out and get to the beginning by repeatedly pressing the "Menu" button (the one 2nd from left on the front of your iPod at the top where you have 4 buttons).
Does that work?
