So, I'm having a problem which may be on the verge of making my idisk unusuable.
Some files which have been posted to the idisk have come down with some garbled characters. A few random strings of characters.
I think it could just be the file transfers only being 99.9% perfect. (Which sounds fine until you're trying to send a document to somebody really important). So I'm looking for solutions to help me a) minimize the problem and b) know when it's happened.
Two people are accessing the idisk and changing files there.
Will .zipping everything put on the idisk provide some level of protection? The .zip protocol includes a checksum, doesn't it? I need something which will warn me if the file I'm grabbing is somehow corrupted, so I can know to check it for problems.
Thanks in advance!
