Moving my iTunes library

Hello all.
I'm very excited that Apple started venturing into the video territory. I just got the new iTunes and bought a Lost episode.
See, the thing is that I boot my iBook from an external FireWire HD. Everything is in there. But when I take it out, I boot from the internal drive and it's just bare bones. No music, photos and videos or much programs.
I'd now like to pass my iTunes library which now includes videos to the internal drive and have the iTunes from the external and internal HDs to access the same library.
I know, I like to make my life complicated. Any help or advice is really appreciated.
