Is this the last part needed to kill off Quark? I hope so, because unless it comes out with a real robust solution with Quark 7, I don't see how they can turn the tide. With a solution like this Adobe finally gains the last part of the puzzle. If only they could fix the bug with spot color separations overpinting on Illustrator files, InDesign would be almost perfect. Not sure if the bug comes from Illustrator or InDesign.

I'm glad to see Adobe not only continuing to support the Mac platform, but to have an OS X Server version of this new inDesign Server product. Though I'm nowhere near any such activity which would need or use such a solution, I can imagine how pleased such organizations are to have a powerful Mac publishing workflow system which is most likely easy to administer and which rarely breaks down in demanding production environments.

I am interested in this type of software. It will be interesting to see where this goes. I would love to see a meld or ability to manipulate the same Indesign file by more than one user. InCopy sort of allows this, at least with text. A way to do this with the actual file, so one person could manipulate page 2 in a document while a second person manipulates page 5.
