Hi,
How can I watch an AVI video encoded with Intel Indeo 4.4?
I tried QuickTime, VLC, Mplayer, and Windows Media Player with no luck!
The only thing I haven't tried is ffmpegX. Do you think it will convert it?
Here's the clip
If you're able to play the clip please let me know.
One more thing, This question may sound stupid, but what the hell, I have no idea what's going on here...
What Does 3ivx D4 - 4.5.1 Do? How is it different from DivX 5.2.1?
Thanks

try

Your question is a big one that requires some intimate knowledge of video before anyone can really help you. Does "transcoding" mean anything to you?

You really can't. Indeo is an ancient codec, and is not available for OS X, nor supported by pretty much any modern video players (even Microsoft has dropped support from Windows Media Player). I know the Windows version of QuickTime used to have an indeo video codec, but I think they dropped it after version 5.
To get it to play, I think you might have to find a computer running Windows, and buy the $20 indeo video codec pack (http://www.ligos.com/indeo.htm).
