I'm consdering to switch my graphics-design office computer from Pc to Mac! I'll be using Corel-Draw, In-Design, Photoshop alot now the options I have you know apple-store online has 4 models, my question is should I go for the Ultimate model with a cheaper screen or a cheaper mac and a better screen, is there a huge different between the 800MHz model and the dual GHz model?

before you read this, know I am by no means an expert on this:
I'm assuming my "better" screen you mean the 22", and "cheap" meaning the 15"
I'd say the 933 Mhz looks very appealing-same graphics card as the ghz, nicer price. Then get a 17" display-a happy medium in both.
Um, what's the 4th model?

Try and hold off your purchase. On August 13th Apple may announce the roll out of a new line of towers. They might drop the price on the current line to get rid of them or the new line might be so much faster that you might want to pass on the current machines in favor of the new models. No one knows for shure what the new towers will offer, rumors of much faster bus speeds, DDR
RAM, faster G4 chips or if were very very lucky G5. If you need to have a computer right now I would get the 933Mhz and max out the ram.
good luck

If you ask me, don't buy the Ultimate. Apple over charges for the add-ons that make the difference between the Fastest and Ultimate systems. So, you can buy the Fastest system and the add-ons separately and build the Ultimate system for less that you can get it from Apple. For example, Apple charges $300 for each additional 512 GB DIMM. You can get good 512 MB PC133 DIMMS else where for as little as $45. Same thing goes for the extra 80 GB HD. I don't know about the graphics card, but you can see that you can save quite a bit of money that can be put toward the monitor.
