All my music is gone. 2G iPod; iTunes 6.0; Tiger. Dual 2Gbyte G5.
Shipped my older 2.7 G5 to my new office in LA and deleted all files from it. Connected my iPod to my new home computer for the first time, and clicked "Okay" when a dialog box came up, thinking it would download my music to the computer's iTunes library. All my music is gone. Whoosh! I know this must have come up before, but I could not find it.
Is there any way I can recover my music? I have some of it on CDs.

Your best shot is something like Norton Unerase (though I'm unsure of the best product of that type at this time).
Beyond that, it's gone. Use it as a reminder to read dialogs.

You can't copy your music from you iPod to your computer using only iTunes. Copy protection stuff. I know this won't help now, but in the future, use a program like Senuti for this purpose.
