Now that the series is complete is there any plan to release a "Myst Anthology"? I own Riven but none of the other episodes. I'd like to try all of them someday. Locating and buying individual episodes at this point might not be so easy via eBay or second-hand bins. Also, I'd think an anthology might generate needed revenue for Cyan Worlds, especially if the price was right. I can't imagine repackaging the older versions in a new box would be too expensive. Converting "Classic" games to OS X might be another matter, though.
If Cyan Worlds decides to go this route, I'd just ask you to please combine the multi-CD games onto a single DVD-ROM. Swapping all those CDs in Riven was such a pain and it crashed my Mac not infrequently.
Thanks for considering these suggestions.

The Myst IV: Revelations DVD version includes a Myst III: Exile DVD as a bonus. They both run under OS X. You can get it at Amazon.com. That's 2 of the 5. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
AFAIK, the original Myst (Myst I) and Riven (Myst II) games have never been ported to OS X. They both run with OS 9. I don't believe I've ever tried running them in Classic mode.

As someone mentioned, one of the editions of Myst IV includes III. You can also get the Myst 10th Aniversary DVD Edition (link to Amazon) which has the first 3 on DVD. Myst (Masterpiece) and Riven are OS 9 only, though I would think they would run on Classic without any problems. I mean for that matter they're old enough they'd probably run on Virtual PC without any problems... I think Riven only required like a 90 MHz processor and 16 MB of RAM (or thereabouts).
If you want to play the original Myst on OS X, you can pick up a copy of realMyst. I've seen it at my local Apple store a number of times (though it isn't comeing up on Apple's online store now). It's the exact same game, same story, etc. but it was remade in real-time 3D (and a little age was added to the end that adds some more connection to Riven). AFAIK there is no way to play Riven natively on OS X though.
And a quick ebay search makes it look like a lot of the older titles are still pretty easy to come by there, though it hardly seems worth it with the first three for $15 on Amazon.

Just FYI - Myst WAS, in fact, "ported over" to OS X. The product was rebuilt from the ground up, and named "realMyst"...full 3-D, move in any direction in real time, totally rocks. The Apple Store stocked it when they first opened, and for a long time after.
