Cool design. I like how the USB connector forms the top part of a padlock.
I'd be worried about attaching it a backpack though as suggested on the product page. It can get wet or someone could snatch it from you. There's no physical lock per se. It looks like a spring loaded latch that keeps the whole thing from falling off your backpack. Your data would be safe with the encryption, but you'd still lose the drive.
I also don't think it would be wise putting a USB connector with moisture/humidity on it into a USB port. You can also subject it to lots of heat and sun on your backpack. So using it on a backpack is a bad idea.

It is nice, but for that price you could get an external 300 GB hard disk with FireWire an USB at 7.200 rpm. I know, the size, but still wonder why these things are so expensive...

Yeah, but I think you're paying for the encryption features here too. Not that it couldn't be done on a larger hard disk.

They list the encryption feature as being free on their web site. I'm not convinced that having an interesting form for a product such as this is so important. It's a bit expensive too.
