Is this the beginning of a big problem? I noticed for the first time today that my monitor on my iBook was sort of flickering -- like, I'll be doing something and it flickers ever so delicately. It is subtle, but still freaky. I backed up just in case.
Anyone out ther have this experience? Should I be getting ready to ship this baby out to get work done on my apple protection plan now?
I've never been separated from my iBook. . . . /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

it may be the beginning of the end.
for grins do two things.
backup your stuff if you don't already do that.
boot the Hardware Test Disc that cam with your 'book and run the extended test and see what happens.
if the report comes back clean.. then I wouldn't run to apple.
if it has errors, save em, print em.
then run to apple.

Macnuke: Thanks. I backed everything up just before I posted here -- I am deathly afraid of losing all my schtuff. Ran the test and everything came up OK. I have not seen the nasty flicker today and been using my machine for about 5 hours.
I'm being vigilant, though, and plan to remain faithful to weekly backups. Thanks for suggesting the hardware test, though, I didn't realize I had that diagnostic tool and, if nothing else, I have some peace of mind.
Gracias!

you're welcome.
hopefully, it was just a momentary glitch.
but at least you are backing up and won't lose all should it turn for the worse.
luck to you.
