POPUPS are driving me nuts. Is there a program I can install in OSX to stop them. Thanks.

Most of the OSX browsers will have a setting in preferences to stop the pop-ups, or at least make it much harder for them to appear. Omniwe, Chimera are a good start images/icons/smile.gif

Download a better browser from verstiontracker, put Internet Explorer in the Tash and select "empty trash" from the Finder menu. Problem solved.
