Hey Guys,
Anyone know an easy way to network my Windows PC and iMac G5
I have a cable modem internet connection and I would like to be able to use my printer and scanner on both without unplugging them all.
Also they sit next to each other so no need for a wireless system...
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a Mac Mini, 12" iBook and a 20" iMac all printing to an IBM Laserprinter which is attached to a print queue on my Windows 2000 Server.
What make/model of printer are you using? Depending on the model, you might need to install the gimp-Print package. What Windows OS are you using? Is this a stand alone Windows PC or is there a domain/server involved?
Let me know and I'll gladly share what I've learned.

What make model of printer? USB or Parallel interface? Do you have Mac drivers?
This should be as simple as setting up the printer on the Windows PC, sharing it out, then adding an IP printer to the Mac, using the IP address of the PC.
If the printer manufacturer doesn't have a Mac driver available, then you'll need to install the gimp-print package I mentioned before in order to print.
