I have just received my iMac G5 with the apple remote to use with Front Row.
I was wondering why the Menu Button on the remote (which is meant to bring up Front Row)
doesnt always work. Infact, it hardly ever works, it only seems to work the first time I press it when the iMac has just been tuned on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I remember reading about the FR remote and in the review they said that they had a somewhat faulty remote through all their testing. It seemed to have a nasty lag on its hands. Sometimes it worked, sometimes you had to press the buttons more than once. But, if as you say, it's downright broken (which I say it is if it only works once every boot-up) then take it to where you bought it and demand a new one.

Hi
It just lags if you haven't used it. It also isn't just the Menu button. My guess is either the remote 'sleeps' or the IR sensor on the iMac does and it needs a moment to wake.
