I just received my new Intel Mac. I currently use SBC Yahoo DSL. I tried to download the software needed to operate the wirless 2Wire modem that I used to set up my old Windows PC, but kept getting an error that it was not able to locate Internet Explorer, and then it shut down the downloading process. I called SBC and they told me that Microsoft no longer provides IE for Macs? How do I use my DSL if I can not get the needed progrms?

this would probably be better asked in the networking forum.
but you should be able to use any browser to set your modem up anyway.
example.. i use a Linksys wireless router..
linksys refuses to support Mac.. yet many around here use them with zero problems.
and if your modem is already set up and working, the Mac will plug in and work.
you really won't need the "stuff" that requires IE.
there are people that use a 2-wire modem..i do not so i can't give you details, but I hope someone jumps in.
or perhaps you can email one of the moderators and ask to move this thread to Networking.
