Take a look at "SharePoints" found at http://www.hornware.com/sharepoints/ .

I have to admit I am not completely certain this will do the job for you. A posting in the Apple Discussion forums recently indicated that "SharePoints" did not seem to work for clients connecting via SMB, and my (cursory) review of the documentation does not mention anything about it either.

I suppose you have already thought of this...but it sounds like you should consider setting up a real MacOS X Server.

Thrusby Dave does the trick. As OSX let's you only share your personal home directory or everything /with admin - Dave enables you to define sharepoints whereveer you want to have them, for exampe as you said common directories for different users. THere's a Jag version out now.

EM!

You might check out Samba Sharing -- it is a package that allows you to share any disk or folder, not just a user's home folder. It is a tad confusing for someone (like me) with little networking experience, but I was able to use it to share my two hard disks on my mac with my windows machine. And it's free.
