I'm switching soon, and meanwhile I wanted to vouch for Brenthaven. I own 4 of their bags for my IBM ThinkPad (a backpack for daily use, the largest size with wheels for traveling, a topload for business meetings, and another of the big ones for my wife). They are pricey, but they are absolutely the best computer bags I've ever seen, with amazing quality fit and finish and superb design. The ballistic nylon is the real stuff, not just ballistic-look as is common. This is the type of product, like I hope the Apple PowerBook itself, that you can develop a tremendous loyalty to. If you're familiar with Tumi luggage, this is a step up from even Tumi. My backpack is after 4 years still in like-new condition. My only complaint about the Apple PowerBook backpack is that it lacks sternum and waist cinch straps (I ride a motorcycle), but I'm trying to figure out if I can get someone to sew them on. It also has not all that much room in the main compartment once the PowerBook is inserted.
I've also used Pelican cases. These are pro-quality camera cases that are waterproof and airtight; they are made of plastic and have incredibly strong latches and a pressure-purging valve so after you fly you can get them open again. No question you can stand on these cases. They come with "pick and pluck" foam, which is basically a foam block that is pre-perforated into hundreds of tiny strips, and you can pull out what you don't need to form a quite precise custom-fit (if you're neat about it). They now make a case just for computers. If you want industrial strength and don't mind the corresponding weight, go with one of these. I used to carry two 1520 cases as luggage when flying, and they were probably no less than 8 pounds each empty. They can make these in a variety of colors, too. These are not as slick as the Zero Halliburton briefcase, but they are much better for serious protection.
Another expensive option if you want the rustic look is the Filson padded computer bag. You'd need a sleeve with it, though.

Trying to revive this thread. I've got to get a case for my PB if I ever expect to leave the house with it. It's an "older" 15: G4. I have three different messenger-type bags that I use, so I basically want something that's more of a sleeve, I don't need a full-scale computer bag.
Originally I was going with the InCase sleeve, but decided it wasn't enough protection, really.
Then I was going with the InCase Powerbook binder:
http://www.jambags.c...book-binder.htm
If anyone has this, I'd like to get their thoughts. It looks adequate and it looks cool and not too granola (my main issue with, say, the Willow Designs T2 slipcase - http://www.willowdesign.com/SC-08.html - it looks practical, but not very stylish, and is too much "bag" for me - i have a bag...).
But now I am also looking at the Tom Binh Braincell:
http://www.tombihn.c...reen=PROD&Store[/u]Code=001&ProductCode=TB0300&ProductCount=6&Category_Code=G4
any thoughts on the practical uses of any of these bags? specifically the Powerbook Binder, since I've seen raves about the Tom Binh and Willow Designs bags already.
Simply because it looks like the best protection.

I have a Patagonia messenger bag that I use as my daily carry bag. When I tote my Ti PB around, I use a Case Logic neprene bag that I got at one of the office/computer superstores. I too followed this thread looking for the right sleeve. I had not made a decison when I happened to see this one. When I saw it, I knew that it was the perfect one for me. I live in Hawaii, so I wanted a sleeve that would keep it dry if it got splashed with any water. and as long as I dont heave it...protects my PB quite well when it is in my messenger bag. It fits the PB like a glove......
I hope this helps,

I don't know the answer, and if you emailed them directly, they'd be able to set you straight. I do know that their NS11 case has heaps of storage, isn't too big and provides plenty of protection from drops and rain. I've been using it since late July/ early August, and it's a damn fine case. I'm well chuffed I decided to take the plunge. And the guys from Willow Designs are easy to talk to.
