Hi, I have a SCSI printer, flatbed and film scanner I'd like to use in my upgraded G4 with a bad SCSI PCI card. Is there a device that will take the scsi converting to USB/firewire or will I have to just get a new scsi pci card. I wanted to do away with the scsi card and mabe use the slot for something else.
Thanks...Harry

This one works pretty good but you can only hang one device off it, no SCSI chaining.

If someone knows of a third-party card that has the old-style plugs, I wanna know, too! The problem with the current/newer cards is they all have different connectors, and despite manufacturer's claims, can't be adaptored correctly. I made the mistake of trying to add SCSI after buying a G4, using an Adaptec 29160 card and adapters, but never succeeded in connecting it to legacy devices. The other G4 we bought (same model, Mirrored Drive Doors) I had Apple put the SCSI card in, and that works fine.
I think your best bet is to look for a replacement card that matches the bad one. You might try these guys: Pre-Owned Electronics
