I have a Powerbook G4 Aluminum. The hard drive recently crashed and so I had a new one installed and the OS X install disks put back on. I then got Tiger and installed this with no problems two nights ago. The music I had put into iTunes transferred with the upgrade no problem. This morning I turned the powerbook on and when it booted up none of my settings were the same (the background changed, different icons in the doc, dock size was different than I had previously set it), and all of my music had disappeared. However, programs I had installed (Toast, Microsoft Office 04 were still present as well as some documents I had saved). Has anyone come across this before? Can anyone help me out? I want to start putting music on again, but if my powerbook is going to reset itself again it's not worth it. Thanks.

I saved the documents in my documents folder and Office 04 and Toast were both saved in applications. I tried logging off and logging back in, but that didn't work. I only had one option to choose when signing in. However, when I had the hard drive installed, Compusa named my computer one thing, and I changed it the other night. Hmm, that may have been the problem. When I logged back on and all was gone, it was the name Compusa used not the one I changed it to. That may be the problem. Thanks.
