How do you hotsync a Sony Clie to a Mac?

I have a sony clie PEG-T665C and was wondering how to make it work with my ibook. I currently only use it on my PC since it didnt come with any mac software. I have seen a program called the missing sync 3.0 that says it allows you to use it with a mac but if costs 30 dollars. Any advice would be helpful. btw I have a 700mhz ibook and I use OSX only.

I have the same Sony and almost the same iBook (600mhz 384mb 30 gig combo). You should need to use missing sync in order to hotsync to your mac. I was unable to get it to hot sync without the program. I believe some of the older Sony models could hot sync with Palm Desktop in OS X out of the box with out missing sync, but i'm not aware of any of the new models that can do it. I hope I helped!

I just bought a Sony Clie SJ30 and have no problem to hotsync to my Mac. Just make sure that your Palm Desktop is ver 4.0. If you have an earlier version, you could download v4.0 from the URL below:
